[Hate Cleric] Coulter Attacks Jesus Over Liberal Agenda!

Posted by Lex Fear on July 31, 2006

Americas new Witchfinder General, Ann Coulter, has lambasted Jesus Christ in her latest book “Haters Get More Publicity”. In the book she compares Jesus to the Godless liberals in America who love sinners and prostitutes, stand against the death penalty, war and earthly empire.

“This self-appointed Messiah is a liar and a blasphemer” says Coulter of the Lord. On his stand against the death penalty for the woman caught in adultery, she calls him an “enemy of family values”.

She goes on to question Jesus’s reputation, linking him to sinners and prostitutes. “All his respectable colleagues have deserted him.” she claims. “He is also know for being soft on crime.”

Coulter has even attacked his war record. “When Jesus came to this earth, he promised a new Kingdom, he was pro-war and pro-empire, now we are expected to believe when he says ‘My Kingdom is not of this world‘?”

Finally, she accuses Jesus of treason, and being un-American when it comes to his views on how to treat our enemies. She cites Jesus as saying,

“But if you are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you. Pray for the happiness of those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.” Luke 6:27-28

She ends with “The evidence speaks for itself, Jesus is not a patriot”.

We asked Jesus what he had to say in his defense:

“Count yourself blessed every time someone cuts you down or throws you out, every time someone smears or blackens your name to discredit me. What it means is that the truth is too close for comfort and that that person is uncomfortable. You can be glad when that happens skip like a lamb, if you like! For even though they don’t like it, I do . . . and all heaven applauds. And know that you are in good company; my preachers and witnesses have always been treated like this.” Luke 6:22-23

[Minitruth] Pentagon: Videos Give Wrong Impression War Is Violent

Posted by Lex Fear on July 29, 2006

Apparently, the flood of videos being posted by soldiers, on websites like YouTube, Ogrish and Military.com, are giving a wrong impression that war is violent, bloody and barbaric.

“Sites such as YouTube and Ogrish.com have hundreds or thousands of clips from soldiers, some set to rock music.

At their most graphic, they show the aftermath of suicide bombings and gunfights between coalition forces and insurgents.

Many include troops using foul language.” – BBC News Online

The Pentagon insists that this is simply not the case and these videos are damaging the reputation of the US Military, by depicting false images of people being killed and dying.

“War is all about fun. The enemy don’t really die, they simply pretend to be dead until we call the end of the game. Then it’s their turn to pretend-shoot us. Everyone is happy, no one gets hurt because we’re using blanks. When you see explosions happen, it’s all staged like the movies. We would like people to stop propagating the myth that war is about killing, when in reality it’s about love”. – Pentagon Spokesperson

Other sources are insisting that the videos are real and people are dying in the War Against Terror. But it’s ok, says Ward Carroll of Military.com, because in the end, “we’re not showing any videos of dead Americans or innocent bystanders.”

That’s good because seeing a human being die doesn’t really affect me as much as seeing a human being, who happens to be American, die.

[Churchianity] Is Someone Nearby Hurting?

Posted by Lex Fear on July 29, 2006

It may not be obvious that someone we know is hurting. When a person now feels they cannot share their struggle, it is buried inside and then becomes a seed for doubt, mistrust, fear, discontent and feelings of failure.

“How’s it going?”
“Good, thanks.”
“Great… OK catch you later”
“Yeah, see ya.”

Does this short passing exchange sound familiar to you? Chances are if you’ve ever stayed for coffee after a Sunday morning service, attended a church event or visited with a house-group that you’ve had a conversation like this. On the surface, it simply sounds like one individual showing genuine concern for another. But how would this conversation go if the second person was to respond in a different way?

[Child Soldiers] Following the Israel-Lebanon Crisis

Posted by Lex Fear on July 28, 2006

I’ll start by saying that I am not anti-Israel and I believe it has a right to exist as a nation, as every other nation does. It also has a right to defend itself. However, what Israel is doing is not defending itself, instead, it is conducting it’s own state sanctioned terrorism against a weak fledgling state.

If you want to read some intelligent and alternative commentary on the Israel-Lebanon crisis, then check out The Osterley Times. Kel manages to pull in and analyse a lot of news reporting on the situation.

“When this senseless fighting is over, when we finally know the cost of this war in terms of loss of infrastructure and loss of human life, we will be justified in asking what was it all for when the Israelis accept a deal that was always on the table before she unleashed carnage in the Middle East.” Kel – The Osterley Times

I found this post particularly disturbing. The creeping smile on the little girls face in the second image is haunting. Still, Israel is not the first nation to employ this tactic against the enemy. Terror groups in Afghanistan, The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam in Sri Lanka, The Democratic Republic of Congo and the Lords Resistance Army in Uganda have all used brainwashing on children to fuel their conflicts.

“Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” – Proverbs 22:6 NIV

[Police State] Killing Now a Breach of Health & Safety at Work Act

Posted by Lex Fear on July 27, 2006

“Are the Met now going to issue us guidelines on how not to look like a terrorist, in order to prevent us coming to a similar fate?”

(Raw text, sorry but no links could be restored)

The killers of Jean Charles De Menezes in Stockwell Tube station last summer will not be prosecuted. Instead, their employers will be prosecuted for a breach of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. Reassuring for the employees of the Metropolitan Police Force I’m sure, not so reassuring for the rest of us.

We’ll never actually know what was going through the minds of the killers of Jean Charles De Menezes as he boarded the tube one morning in July, however what we do know is that they made there decision prima facie. They looked at his clothing, his ethnicity, his actions and determined that it somehow qualified for a potential terrorist and so had to be ‘stopped’ before he potentially blew anyone up.

The fact that there was ‘insufficient evidence’ to prosecute any officer involved in the killing should worry us all. What does insufficient evidence mean? It means that it cannot be proved that the officers who shot De Menezes committed an act of murder or manslaughter. For murder or manslaughter to be proved it would have to be determined beyond reasonable doubt that they did not believe they were killing a terrorist. In other words, they were unable to distinguish a terrorist from an innocent civilian.

“In fact, the evidence supports their claim that they genuinely believed that Mr de Menezes was a suicide bomber and therefore, as we cannot disprove that claim, we cannot prosecute them for murder or any other related offence.” – Stephen O’ Doherty – CPS

Therefore, if a police officer, prima facie, observes your clothing, your ethnicity and your actions and comes to a belief you are a potential terrorist, he can shoot you in the head, on site, then claim that he genuinely believed you were a terrorist. After all, how are you going to disprove someone’s beliefs?

Are the Met now going to issue us guidelines on how not to look like a terrorist, in order to prevent us coming to a similar fate?

“However I have concluded that the operational errors indicate that there had been a breach of the duties owed to non-employees under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, by the Office of Commissioner of Police and I have authorised a prosecution under that act.” – O’Doherty

Considering this ruling, perhaps the family of De Menezes will now have to take a different approach (no win no fee accident compensation) to getting justice.

[Inspiration] Ulterior Verse of the Day – Mark 17:17-22

Posted by Lex Fear on July 22, 2006

As he was starting out on a trip, a man came running up to Jesus, knelt down, and asked, “Good Teacher, what should I do to get eternal life?”
Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked. “Only God is truly good. But as for your question, you know the commandments: `Do not murder. Do not commit adultery. Do not steal. Do not testify falsely. Do not cheat. Honor your father and mother.’
“Teacher,” the man replied, “I’ve obeyed all these commandments since I was a child.”
Jesus felt genuine love for this man as he looked at him. “Excellent!” Jesus replied. “Come and follow me we can use your wealth for building the Kingdom, and you can teach the other disciples the secrets to accumulating great wealth (for the Kingdom).Mark 17:17-22 NLT

[Candid] Yo Bush!

Posted by Lex Fear on July 18, 2006

A candid conversation was overheard by the worlds press between President Bush and Prime Minister Blair when a microphone was left on at the G8 summit.

Even though the conversation itself was nothing highly controversial, none-the-less it has caused quite a stir in the blogosphere:

Yo Blair!: Overheard at the G8
President Bush caught on tape saying the word “shit” to UK Prime Minister Blair
Why I Can’t Hate Bush
Dude, they gotta stop that sh*t
Yo Blair!: Overheard at the G8 + Video
Our Fearless Leader: “Yo, Blair – you outta here?”

OK our Prime Minister sounded like a weasel, but I think he was just trying to use terms that the President knows. For instance ‘International Commerce’ contains two large words which might be difficult to understand so Blair simplified it to “trade thingy”. Now Mr Bush knows what he’s talking about.

Speaking today, Prime Minister Tony Blair expressed much disappointment over the private conversation which was inadvertently broadcast to the entire world: “He didn’t even mention the socks and matching underwear I bought him for Easter…”

[Inspiration] Ulterior Verse of the Day – Luke 6:27-28

Posted by Lex Fear on July 16, 2006

“To you who are ready for the truth, I say this: Love those who love you. Show your enemies why you hate them. It’s hard sometimes, but continue to pray against your enemies and bless only your friends and loved ones.” Luke 6:27-28 The Message
